83 years old? What an inspiration! I'm 75 and have long given up water related activities, but seeing this has made me reconsider. You're a real inspiration Frank!

"Old Hotch" I'm stoked to see your story. I'd love to have a paddle with you in Alamitos Bay. You set the bar high for us senior citizens to shoot for. Good job to you and Tony in the Rock 2 rock. There isn't much that beats being on the water.

Hey Pop, way to go. That was a great day! You set the bar pretty high, I guess there will be no rocking chair retirement for me. Thanks for sharing your passion of the ocean with me. Love ya Pop, "Young" Hotch [relatively speaking]

Excellent Frank! If they only knew that along with paddling, you still fly airplanes, take classes at CSULB, taught classes last year in city planning at UCI, and sing the "Pirate King" song better than anyone I know. CARPE DIEM! DR

I just was enjoying the website and Frank was just another featured name on the list and then...wow! It really woke me up, got my attention, jolted me awake! I wasn't expecting that. It was the best thing that happened to me today, thanks Frank

I was talking myself out of paddling one morning. Cold, grey, wasn't feeling it. Then you and Steve and Tony showed up, all stoked and totally going. I talked to you for a minute or so, thats all you were going to give me, no time to waste. You were all about what a great privilege it was to be able to enjoy the ocean with your sons on such a grand day. That was it, I wound up going twice as far as my normal route and feeling great. I'm lucky to know you and your boys. Thanks, Mike
