Amazing that most guys won paddling prone, and not on their knees. I always thought knee paddling was the fastest stroke. great show competitors!!!

Wow. Tired just watching. I think I heard the greatest rhythm section of all time on the soundtrack, the Grateful Dead drummers, Mickey and Billy. If not, maybe just Mickey? RA, nice butterfly, it made the difference. Was the after party at Ripple's?

The stock boards were torture.

The flat water 200 was a test to see the interest in such an event and to find the best distance and how the heats should be run.2009 will include the same type of sprints and some 1 and 2 mile races combining both paddle disciplines stand up and traditional .All ideas and help are encouraged to support this event Thanks Joe

Interesting how Ryan A. pulled ahead with the Blake/Zahn double (butterfly) stroke. They would have held that stroke the whole way. Wonder what their times would have been? Thanks to Joe, and all the competitors. Good inspiration.
