Mikey Cote-Molokai
November 6, 2008 : 5 Comments
This past July, Oahu's Mikey Cote paddled his way to a decisive first place in the stock division of the 32 mile Molokai to Oahu paddleboard race. Mikey's dad Mike, was nice enough to shoot some video as he followed along in the support boat. This is Mikey's first time solo crossing of 5 hours and 48 minutes broken down to 6. Thanks to Mike Cote Sr. for the footage.

That makes Molokai appear almost fun. Mikey certainly is a master of the bumps, it looks like he is barely paddling most of the time. Cool video.

Great job in all the races this year and I look forward to next season. You make the knee paddling look easy in the bump but I know it is not.Your new board is done and I will send it after you give it a go when You are here next week. Thanks for all your support and helping me to create the perfect board
Thanks Joe

Mikey- thanks so much for the aloha for the Cali crew. You and your Dad are great folks, and it was great to paddle some training runs from sandy's before the race with you all. Nice work this year and big mahalos from all of us south bay paddlers.
best,
roebee

Way to go Mikey. You are the man. That's all I have to say about that.
